The PKT Pal is a project that runs on an open-source encryption technology called PacketCrypt, a proof-of-work algorithm that proves you have an internet connection and pays you every 60 seconds in a cryptocurrency known as PKT Cash.

PKT Cash is the first coin that is generated using bandwidth.

It requires you to prove that you have the bandwidth for you to mine coins.

PKT Pal makes use of a device named the PKT Cube which provides a plug-and-play solution for you to mint PKT Cash with your unused bandwidth.

It uses PacketCrypt proof of work blockchain which means that your bandwidth is allowed to spread throughout the PKT Network making you an Internet Service Provider (ISP).

The coin can be used to pay your internet service provider or can be converted to your local currency.

The device was created to help people who are interested in cryptocurrency but are scared of it because it can’t be touched to have a relatable way to mine coins and use it to pay some bills.

Why are you paid for your extra bandwidth?

You are paid for your extra bandwidth because the PKT Network needs your unused bandwidth to increase its network.

This means the more network people prove available, the bigger the PKT Network gets.

The PKT Network is aimed at making internet service provision decentralized so that internet connection will be available to anyone.

The PacketCrypt algorithm uses the same encryption used in VPN technology, therefore, it is end-to-end encrypted and safer than your traditional internet connection.

This project aims to establish and sustain high-speed bandwidth availability and connectivity. It also aims to enable you to connect to the internet securely via any WiFi around you.

Who would use your extra bandwidth?

You may be wondering who will be using your extra bandwidth. At first, no one will be using your bandwidth, you are just proving that you have the bandwidth and encrypting more traffic on the PKT Network

Later you can enable sharing of Wi-Fi on your PKT Cube which will enable you to resell your unused internet bandwidth and earn an extra source of income but that is optional.

How Does The PKT Network Work?

The PKT network runs on cjdns technology. The cjdns technology provides you with an IPv6 address which enables you to gain access to the internet via a cjdns gateway without requiring a centralized Internet Service Provider (ISP).

It is the basis of a global mesh network where anyone can share their internet and become an ISP, thereby decentralizing internet service provision and making the internet unstoppable.

The cjdns technology is used in compact source routing. It detects a route server, then sends a request which will help it find out how to get to the destination. It gets back the route and sends the source-routed packets to the cjdns network.

The PKT Network is like an open Wi-Fi but in this case, it is highly secure due to end-to-end encryption.

You are not connected to the internet through the IP address of the Wi-Fi you are using (your neighbor's Wi-Fi as the case may be).

You will be connecting through the CJDNS network which will get you directly to your Virtual Private Network (VPN), so the owner of the Wi-Fi connection is not responsible for your activities on the internet rather your VPN is responsible for that.

In short form, you are connected through a node, to the cjdns network, to the PKT Network , then to your VPN provider, and back to the website of your interest. The connection to the PKT Network is unique because it would use the Wi-Fi direct technology which allows you to set up sessions without necessarily having an internet connection.

It also doesn’t require a password. The cjdns technology will help your smartphone detect network connections automatically and connect to them later on.

The PKT Network runs on mesh network technology. This means that if one node is down, it doesn’t affect the whole network, it will still run efficiently.

The PKT Network makes it difficult to be cut off from the internet and enables anyone to become edge internet service providers (ISPs).

Since the PKT Network runs on bandwidth hard proof-of-work blockchain, it does not have as much environmental impact as other proof of work projects because it favors quality bandwidth over CPU power.
